Guideline Daily Amounts (GDAs) are a guild to the amount of energy, protein, carbohydrate, fat, fibre and sodium (salt) you should typically consume each day to maintain a health diet. It is important to bear in mind that they are guidelines calculated for an average adult with a healthy weight and average activity level.

It¢s also important to note that a value for Sodium is typically listed in product nutritional information tables. This is different from Salt. In order to calculate the grams of Salt from the grams of Sodium simply multiply the Sodium value by 2.54.For example 0.5g Sodium is equal to 1.27g of Salt.
